TECHNOLOGY CLASS EXPECTATIONS
1. RESPECT--It is expected that you will respect other's person and property as well as the school's property. Review the harassment policy in your student handbook.
2. PREPARATION--It is expected that you will bring all materials to class that are necessary to be an active, participating member of the class. Required supplies for this class are:
--Pen or pencil
--Headphones or Earbuds
--Kleenex (1 box)
3. TARDIES--It is expected that you will be in the room when the bell rings. Also, remain in your seat until you are dismissed at the end of the period. If another teacher excuses a tardy, it is your responsibility to bring a pass with you to class.
4. ABSENCES--If an absence is planned, it is your responsibility to get assignments BEFORE you are gone or to make arrangements with the instructor. Make-up work for unplanned absences will be accepted for full credit if it is turned in according to the Student Handbook.
5. COMPLETION OF ASSIGNMENTS--It is expected that you will attend class regularly and participate in all class activities and assignments. It is your responsibility to get ALL work turned in when due. In order to pass the class, ALL assignments must be completed and turned in, even if they are late. See the Incomplete Policy in your student handbook.
6. LATE ASSIGNMENTS -- Late assignments are those that are handed in anytime past the due time. Late assignments will appear as an incomplete in the grade book until they are completed to the teacher’s satisfaction.

- Technology Specifics –
- Using a digital file or other person’s idea without approval from Mrs. Jacobsen.
- You are expected to operate the computer and software programs on your own and to complete all assignments on your own. You may get help from other students or teachers but they are not allowed to touch your computer or any other devices you need to operate to complete your project. You must operate all equipment on your own
- AI may be utilized for pre-writing activities and the practicing of essential skills. AI shall not be used while completing assessment work. Assessments must reflect what students know and can do independently.

- All parties involved will be given a zero on the assignment (includes giver and receiver)
- The assignment will need to be redone (to Mrs. Jacobsen’s approval) from the beginning by all parties involved. Failure to redo the assignment to Mrs. Jacobsen’s approval will result in an incomplete on the assignment and an ending grade of 50% F (or lower) will be given according to the Student Handbook Policy on incompletes.
- Additional consequences will follow the Student Handbook policy on Academic Misconduct.
